I’m a visual artist based in Turku. I work with animation, photography, printmaking and installation. I became fascinated with animation via printmaking – building up the image layer by layer, reaching movement, playing with the rhythm – wow! Slow methods are for me – in animation I mostly work with puppets and other stop motion techniques. I’ve been exhibiting my works widely both in Finland and internationally in art shows and festivals. I often work in residencies abroad. The themes in my works are somewhat gloomy – mortality, memory and loss.
